Why Musings & Marks?

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” – Jeremiah 33:3

I want to send this blog out whenever I can—mainly in the mornings—to emphasize our need to listen to the things we hear throughout the week, but sometimes don’t quite put together. We don’t often write things we hear or read down and then try to notice a theme. I like to believe that a theme in this sense is what God is attempting to tell us, but take it as you wish. This was inspired by an email from my Carleton friends that a few contributors sent out daily, which evolved into a necessary part of my day. I don’t know if it will help anyone else to receive these quotes, but my hope is that it can be the little extra inspiration you need:)

“I know not all that may be coming, but be it what it will, I’ll go to it laughing.” — Herman Melville

“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.” — Confucius

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
