I was tough on myself this morning, waking up feeling the Monday blues, but then feeling guilty for allowing myself to feel down after such a wonderful weekend. This was heightened as I felt worried about the work week, finances, health, friends, etc., etc.
Then I received a couple quotes in my inbox about remembering to be thankful… and I recognized that most all people get hit by these feelings on a Monday. We can’t expect to go about life without the devil nudging us and pulling at us, taking over at times. But we do have the power to shift our thoughts, making space for the One that counts.

Take comfort in the fact that you’re allowed to get hit by negative thoughts and feelings — obviously it’ll happen when the devil is hounding ya. But be grateful for the fact that we can still be dancin’ on a Monday. Those negative thoughts and fears will always exist, but thank GOD we don’t have to dwell in them all through our days.
